Banana Waffles by My Little Food Critic

These delicious waffles are made with Else Plant-Powered Kids Shake Mix - Banana Chia flavor. A delicious and nutritious way to start your kids day - and you’ll be tempted to eat some yourself (which you totally can).

 

Ingredients

1 cup spelt four 

 

 

2 tsp baking powder

 

 

½ tsp Ceylon cinnamon 

 

 

½ tsp cardamom 

 

 

5 scoops @elsenutrition kids shake in banana chia

 

 

2 ripe bananas, small sized 

 

 

1 tsp vanilla

 

 

6 tbsp coconut oil, at room temperature 

 

 

¾ cup milk of choice

 

 

1 egg 

 

 



Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cardamom and @elsenutrition.

In another bowl, mash the bananas until smooth and then add the vanilla, coconut oil, milk and egg. Whisk to combine. 

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. 

Set aside. Heat your waffle iron on medium - high. When hot, add 2 tablespoons of the batter and cook according to the waffle maker instructions. 

Repeat with the remaining batter. 

Serve alongside some fruit and maple syrup. 

These can be stored in an airtight container for 2 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
